The Secretariat General of European Herpetological Society (SEH) decided to held 15. European Congress of Herpetology in Turkey. The presidency of the organization committe has been assigned to myself. First of all, I would like to thank SEH secretariat for their confidence. It is a great honor for us to carry out such an important organization here in Turkey.
The 15th European Congress of Herpetology will be held between 28 September - 2 October 2009 in Kuşadası, AYDIN. Kuşadası is a valley of civilization. Herodotos (I 142) has found those Ionians who used to live in the region "fortunate to build their cities in the most favourable position for climate and seasons''.
While having successful and satisfying scientific program, we wil try to share as much time as possible for social programs to provide you oppurtunity to visit historical and natural sites and to relax.

We have previously announced that the 15th European Congress of Herpetology will be held in Turkey between 28 September and ' October 2009 at Kusadası, Aydin, TURKEY. Now, we updated our webpage. You can get further information on the registration process, hotel price and abstract submission at www.seh2009turkey.org
Our aim, as herpetologists from Turkey, to provide you best facilities during the congress both in scientific and social aspects. Of course, we will always in need of your support to make this true. With this opportunity, we would like to thank our scientific committee who kindly accepted our invitation and gave us power at the beginning.

VERY IMPORTANT: The list of abstracts which were sent to the organizing committee and accepted for presentation in the 15th European Congress of Herpetology is available. It includes the titles of the abstracts and the authors. Please Click Here for download abstracts list... ATTENTION-1 !! We are planning for two days excursion to National Park at Dilek Peninsula at Kuşadası and to Dalyan beach which is well known for loggerhead turtle nesting. The excursion will take place on 3rd and 4th of October. Please send an e-mail to congress secretariat if you want to participate this event. ATTENTION-2 !! Limited amount of funding will be available for the graduate students who will have a presentation as oral or poster. Priority will be given to participants of developing countries. The support will cover either registration fee or accommodation. The students who are in need of financial support should contact with congress secretariat until 15th May. The results of the grants will be announced in June.
